Battlefield: Mobile

From May 2020 to March 2023, I worked as a Technical Experience Designer and Senior Experience Designer at Electronic Arts on Battlefield Mobile. Some of my work included:

• Implemented multiple UI systems, components, and interfaces for Battlefield Mobile in Unreal Engine 4
• Worked in Blueprint in Unreal Engine 4 to script and fine-tune UI interaction
• Created animations using Unreal Engine 4’s sequencer and created multiple custom material assets

Home Screen

One of the aspects of the UI that I was responsible for on Battlefield: Mobile was the Home Screen.
I worked to implement all of the visible elements on the home screen in the video below. One particular element I’m proud of working on was the Start Button, which you can see in the video below.

In order to create the animated effects for the start button, I made a custom material for the revolving edge glow and the CRT TV on/off effect when the start button is clicked. I used the Unreal sequencer to create the looping diagonal lines animation to call the player’s attention to the start button.
